Leadership through History, Identity & Heritage

Program Overview: This immersive high school study abroad program invites students to explore how leaders are shaped by their histories, environments, and cultural identities against the vibrant backdrop of Mexico City—a place rich in indigenous heritage, revolutionary history, and diverse traditions. Final Project: Leadership Across Borders — Building Global Coalitions to Tackle Shared Challenges: Students will identify a pressing global issue that crosses cultural and national boundaries and design a realistic leadership project to address it collaboratively. Drawing on Mexico City’s rich history of resilience and cultural diversity, students will create inclusive, cross-cultural coalitions that leverage empathy and historical insight. The project involves researching global challenges, mapping stakeholders, and developing actionable plans to launch initiatives connecting their home communities with partners abroad.
