From Start to Finish: Effective Supply Chains in the Chocolate World

Program Overview: This program guides students through the complexities of supply chain and the sourcing methods that many companies use around the world in order to create large quanities of their products. Students will learn key stages of creating a consumer product, including ethical sourcing, supply chain logistics, and international legal considerations. These topics will be directly explored through the world of chocolate in the chocolate capital of the world! Needless to say, there will be a lot of chocolate tasting in this program.

Final Project: Students will act as consultants for a new chocolate brand that is developing in their home country. They will tackle the issues of supply chain and develop a consultancy presentation for the client that describes their recommendations for most efficient way to acquire the ingredients that the client needs in an ethical fashion. The future of this chocolate brand is in the hands of your students!
